Our Hatfield head office
Ocado’s first Customer Fulfilment Centre was built in Hatfield in 2002, and the town remains home to our head office. Here hundreds of technologists work to solve a wide range of challenges which are core to delivering Ocado’s pioneering Smart Platform – and beyond.
Aside from being immersed in a culture of innovation, working at Hatfield offers additional perks. It’s a spacious working environment for collaboration, individual and large meeting rooms, games room, fun after work events and communities, subsidised coffee bars and restaurant, free fruit and refreshments, plenty of parking and a free shuttle service from the nearby train station – with green spaces, restaurants and shops minutes away.

Hertfordshire
In 2014, we opened our first site in Welwyn Garden City – a team of just 10 – with a secret mission: to create next generation automated warehouses. Our world-class testing and experimentation space has grown ever since.
Today, we offer state-of-the-art offices, labs, and workshop spaces in Hertfordshire, bringing together software and hardware engineering teams with product and project teams.

London
Based in Old Street – at the heart of Silicon Roundabout – our London development centre is home to an ever expanding team of software engineers, data scientists, UX designers, researchers and product managers.
Here, technologists work on the software powering our next-generation warehouses – implementing complex algorithms and business logic to schedule and coordinate the work of hundreds of people fulfilling customer orders. These teams build products that make sure Supply Chain remains a core component of what keeps the Ocado Smart Platform at the forefront of online grocery.
