Financial wellbeing

At Ocado, we believe that financial wellbeing helps support good mental health, which is why we offer our employees the opportunity to benefit from our shareholding scheme. We award free shares to all employees globally with six months of service or more, twice a year. You’ll also get the opportunity to purchase more shares through employee schemes.

Family support and care

Our family support policies apply whether you’re welcoming a child by birth, surrogacy, adoption or foster care. New parents (birthing and non-birthing) can take advantage of competitive parental leave. We also offer support to paternity / secondary carers, and you and your partner might be eligible to take shared parental leave and receive shared parental pay. We also understand with adoption and surrogacy, you might need to take time for pre-adoption meetings or take extended leave when your child or children come to live with you.

We have additional flexible working arrangements, where required, for anybody returning to work after parental leave, and we also offer a parent returners’ coaching programme. This provides strategies to support smooth transition, long-term professional goals, and life balance.

Flexibility and time off 

We encourage working flexibly and have time off policies, including lifestyle, bereavement, sick leave, parental leave, and public bank holidays. 

We support a hybrid working model too, where this fits the role, and we value autonomy, so you manage your schedule. There may also be an opportunity to ‘Work from Anywhere’ for 30 calendar days per year to give you the freedom to create a worldwide workspace. 

We have competitive annual leave entitlement across all our global development centres and fulfilment centres. We also offer a holiday purchase scheme to buy additional days/hours of leave.
