Health and wellbeing

Financial wellbeing

Ocado encourages shareholding by awarding free shares to all employees globally with six months service or more, twice a year. You’ll also get the opportunity to purchase more shares through employee schemes.

Family support and care

Our family support policies apply whether you’re welcoming a child by birth, surrogacy, adoption or foster care. New parents (birthing and non-birthing) can take advantage of competitive parental leave. We offer support to paternity / secondary carers too, and you and your partner might be eligible to take shared parental leave and receive shared parental pay. With adoption and surrogacy, you might need to take time for pre-adoption meetings, or take extended leave when your child or children come to live with you.

We have additional flexible working arrangements, where required, for anybody returning to work after parental leave, and we also offer a parent returners’ coaching programme. This provides strategies to support smooth transition, long-term professional goals, and life balance.

Flexibility and time off 

We have competitive annual leave entitlement across all our global development centres and fulfilment centres. Five days annual leave can be carried over, and there is a holiday purchase scheme to buy up to three additional days leave.

Opportunity to ‘Work from Anywhere’ for 30 calendar days per year, give you the freedom to create a worldwide workspace. 

Hybrid working

We support a hybrid working model where this fits the role, and we value autonomy, so you manage your own schedule. Depending on your location, you might be able to work fully remotely in August and for half of December. You might also be able to choose to ‘work from anywhere’ for a month.
