About the Role

We have an exciting new role for a Finance Analyst to join the Solutions commercial finance team. This is a varied finance role, which will support the Solutions finance team.

In this role you will be  supporting scenario analysis, profitability modelling and forecasting relating to our Solutions partners. You will also lead on the Solutions team costs that involve budgeting, forecasting and reporting of actual performance. 

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will work closely with the commercial teams who partner with our UK and International partners and also your finance colleagues.

What you will be doing 

  • Developing an excellent understanding of our solutions partners, including detailed knowledge of the partner contracts with a particular focus on fees and revenue recognition
  • Supporting the wider solutions finance team with modelling and analysis across Solutions partners
  • Active member supporting the annual budget and ongoing forecast process.
  • Supporting the team with the production and refreshing latest views of partner profitability
  • Leading on the reporting, analysis and insight of the Solutions team costs.
  • Prepare and ensure effective/ value adding inputs into periodic reports.
  • Calculating monthly fees to invoice our partners
  • Business partnering - building effective working relationships with key Solutions stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement - improving consistency and standardisation of processes and activities
  • Support half year and year end audit queries
  • Ensures financial controls are effectively performed
  • Ad-hoc analysis

About you 

  • Qualified  Accountant with a strong foundation in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience of reporting period management accounts, analysis and providing insightful commentary..
  • Proficient in advanced Google Sheets and Excel functionalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and maintain flexibility in response to changing priorities.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record of driving results.
  • Exceptional drive, resilience, and persistence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep into details to identify key performance drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships.
  • Effective team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in warehouse and logistics operations, and/or online grocery or general merchandise businesses is highly desirable.
