About the role

The Technology Support Services (EUC) Engineer’s primary objective is to ensure the smooth running of day to day technical services for our end-user computing services. The role entails technical incident management along with providing an overall excellent customer service for the employees at Ocado’s Head Office site in Hatfield.  

 

In this role you will work closely (mentor) with team Engineers and will need to take the initiative to assist and progress incidents and situations where necessary. As EUC Engineer, your primary objective is to deliver excellent customer service and quality 1st/2nd line technical support for Ocado’s employees.

 

Accountabilities

  • 1st/2nd line EUC support under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain end-user devices and software applications
  • Supporting end-users with hardware and software issues.
  • Continually seeking, promoting and realising opportunities to optimise the EUC services
  • Close attention to service level agreements (SLA’s) and setting a clear expectation to the customer.
  • Delivering a first class service focusing on customer satisfaction and responding to internal customer’s needs.
  • Maintaining and supporting Windows technology within offices, responding to issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Participate and implement elements of business projects as and when required.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures clearly and the forethought to highlight necessary amendments, ensuring documentation is current.
  • Participating in the technical team and ensuring a good work ethic.

 

About you (experience we seek)

Essential

  • 1st/2nd line support experience within a large helpdesk or desktop support team.
  • Experience in end-user computing support or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide technical support on Windows 10/11 and MAC OS X.
  • An understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Logical problem solving through to resolution.
  • Work well as part of a team, supporting other members of the EUC team.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.

 

Desirable

  • An IT or Customer Service qualification would be desirable (i.e. ITIL Foundation, NVQ etc.).
  • Exposure to the Windows Powershell technology would be beneficial.
  • Android and iOS configuration skills.
  • Intune and/or JAMF MDM configuration skills.
