What You Will Do

The Lead Engineering Operations Manager will be accountable for the engineering operations in our client site based in Warsaw, starting by building a team from the ground up, training and setting up operational procedures for excellence. After launching the site, the responsibilities will shift to securing operations and keeping our highly advanced technology working to support our client’s business. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the client receives support to run its operation with OSP, being accountable for communication and making sure a good business relationship is maintained.
  • Plan and coordinate Engineering Operations activities through first-line managers, ensuring the required level of service is delivered to customers
  • Maintain and improve performance levels of immediate team and coach behaviors in first-line reports to maximise efficiency/effectiveness in line with site KPIs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and introduce preventative measures where appropriate.
  • Lead site improvement programs.
  • Propose innovative ideas to enhance the warehouse functions and improve the general running of the business.
  • Deliver a high availability level within the operation to maximise our customer experience.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality systems to ensure the site’s continuous improvement in a total quality environment.
  • Prepare, manage, and work within the departmental budget to assist in the overall achievement of targets.
  • Ensure site standards are high. Apply an excellent approach to all activities and site standards and ensure it is demonstrated by self and team.
  • Support the CFC Operation by being proactive and achieving targets within agreed timescales.
  • Responsible for communication of issues/information to senior management.
  • Create and manage processes for information feedback to Central engineering and projects.
  • Ensure full site compliance with all requirements relating to safety, health, environment, and quality, both to company guidelines and local legislation.
  • Ensure the team is compliant with all Hygiene and Safety statutory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with demonstrated solid experience within a similar industry and business function
  • Deep understanding of engineering systems and automation. An Engineering degree is desirable
  • Project management aptitude
  • Communication Skills: - Ability to communicate at all levels, within the business, and with suppliers.
  • Administrative Skills: - Ability to organise, prioritise and maintain relevant information to support the business.
  • Skilled in Lean Principles and tools, with demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining working methods and systems.
  • Sound analytical skills, a good problem solver.
  • Professional proficiency in English & Polish language
  • Deep knowledge of H&S local legislation
