Oracle Cloud Team Leader | Business Applications | Hatfield | Hybrid (2 days office)

(Please note this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, on a Hybrid working model, based at our Ocado Group Headquarters in Hatfield) (The role is highly likely to be made permanent at the end of the 12 month contract).

About the role:

Leading a team of 7, you will work within the Group IT Business Applications team alongside other Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain Analyst's to provide critical frontline support and change.

The team you’ll be leading resolve support issues in Oracle Fusion, assisting the business on new projects & deliverables whilst maintaining the integrity of financial information. Role and responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing incident, change, and problem management, ensuring efficient resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Leading a team of skilled Oracle Technical Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prioritising workloads for the team aligned with business importance, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Technical proficiency in troubleshooting Oracle Fusion issues, ensuring timely resolution and system stability.
  • Collaborating with the Oracle Environments Manager to successfully deploy mandatory Fusion releases.
  • Conducting root cause analysis for incidents, implement mitigation actions, and manage major incidents effectively.
  • Managing integrations, overseeing multiple ledgers and sub ledgers across various geographies.
  • Facilitating period-end processing and drive improvements in system control, aligning with ITCWG standards.
  • Overseeing IT initiative changes from inception to completion, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Enhancing Starter Movers Leavers processes and manage audit requests in compliance with established protocols.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders through regular reviews, addressing concerns, and implementing improvement plans.
  • Developing and mentoring team members through structured 1-2-1 sessions, reviews, and objective setting.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for someone passionate about Oracle solutions which can effectively absorb new features and technology. The successful candidate will have exceptional client-facing skills, strong analytical skills and be a self-starter. You must also be accustomed to the pressure of resolution timeframes (SLAs) and conflicting priorities requiring multi-tasking. Ideally, we're looking for:

  • You should have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working as an Oracle ERP/Fusion Support Analyst (or functional consultant) for Oracle ERP Applications (Fusion cloud). (PPM, EPM, GRC,  SaaS suite, OCI)
  • Oracle Team management for a minimum of 2 years. 
  • Demonstrable experience Improvement plan through initiation to completion  
  • Functional Financials & Supply Chain Management experience in Oracle Fusion.  
  • Functional knowledge of GL, AR, AP, iExpenses, CE, FA, PO, iProcurement, MRP
  • Understanding and experience in Configurations/Customisations, Extensions, Modifications, Localisations, Interfaces (CEMLIs)
  • Experience of managing Oracle Service Requests, including Sev-1 SRs, and the SR escalation process
  • Troubleshooting problems, including functional replication of issues
  • Delivery and demonstrable E2E testing experience. 
  • Delivery of large and small change within a large organisation using change management processes and procedures
  • Proven experience of change control management
  • Proven experience of release management
  • Functional knowledge of Order Management, Inventory, Projects
