Our application process
Our Internship application process is designed to find out about the projects you have worked on and what you are interested in learning more about, as well as, an opportunity for you to find out more about Ocado and what it is like to work for us.
From application, your CV will be reviewed by our recruitment team to assess your suitability for the role. We’re really looking for people with a true passion for technology, for designing and building the latest suite of products and contributing to a real life tech company. Hands on experience isn’t really necessary at this stage, so be bright, be bold, be you!
You will be invited to complete an online Test relevant to your chosen craft. This test is designed to assess your basic problem solving skills plus gauge your current technical ability and will be sent to you to complete in your own time, which should take around 60 minutes to complete.
This is a slightly more in depth interview where you will get to meet at least 2 of our current engineers, who’s job it will be to assess your technical knowledge in your chosen field. They will also want to find out about the projects you have previously worked on and discover more about what drives you in this field. This is an opportunity to share the areas you are really passionate about and would love to be able to work on in the future.
The final stage of your Internship application is the Values Assessment. This is a two way opportunity, for you to get a feel for Ocado’s culture and for the interviewer to find out how closely your attitude and ways of working align with our culture.
