In 2019 Ocado Group announced partnerships with Australia’s leading grocery retailer Coles and Japan’s longest standing retailer AEON. Both partnerships see Ocado developing online operations through the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) and the build of customer fulfilment centres enabling our partners to serve more customers throughout the region.
Key locations opening in 2023
Wetherill Park on the outskirts of Sydney will be home to our first southern hemisphere customer fulfilment centre (CFC). We’ll need engineers and business support professionals to help run this state-of-the-art CFC site with innovative technology to support online grocery for our partner Coles.
Also opening in 2023, our Truganina customer fulfilment centre (CFC) will be the second CFC in the southern hemisphere. The site is a 35-minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD and will be home to engineers and business support teams who will enable our partner Coles to serve customers across the state.
Our Honda-cho, Midori-ku, Chiba city site is the first customer fulfilment centre to open for our partner AEON in Japan. The site will be home to our expert engineers and business support teams enabling AEON to serve a wide range of customer shopping missions flexibly across the Kanto region.
